Cameron Green and Virat Kohli were involved in a hilarious incident during the ongoing game between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Kolkata Knight Riders at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
The incident took place during the drinks break when Cameron Green was presenting Virat Kohli the Orange Cap for becoming the leading run-scorer in IPL 2024. The former RCB skipper scored his second half-century in a row to power his side to a competitive total of 182 for 6 in the allotted 20 overs.
Virat Kohli started his campaign in IPL 2024 with a 21-run knock against Chennai Super Kings. In the second game against Punjab Kings, he scored 77 runs off 49 balls. And in his third outing against KKR, the former India skipper scored an unbeaten 83. His knock came off 59 balls and was studded with four fours and as many sixes.
After the innings, Cameron Green was being interviewed by the commentators and he was asked to present the Orange Cap to his teammate. The Australia allrounder gave Kohli the cap before hilariously handing him the microphone as well. Ian Bishop, who was the commentator, started laughing before asking Kohli to hand back the microphone to Cameron Green.

Meanwhile, Cameron Green said that the RCB are delighted with the score they have posted against KKR. He also opened up on his batting position and said that he loves to bat at number three.
“Pretty happy with it (total), we saw how the pitch was playing, the off-cutters obviously working, hopefully it stays the same in the second innings. We have to wait and see,” said Cameron Green.
“I love playing there (number three). You’ve got a bit more freedom in the last couple of overs in the powerplay. It’s always nice to bat with Virat, he looked beautiful again today,” he added.
Meanwhile, KKR have made a blazing start to their innings thanks to Sunil Narine’s whirlwind knock of 47 off just 22 balls. At the time of writing this report, KKR were on 92 for 1 in the eighth over.
