Mumbai Indians batter Rohit Sharma is all set to leave the franchise after the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. As per the reports in News 24, it is learned that the former skipper of the franchise is unhappy with the way things are panning out this season.

The reports claimed that Rohit Sharma is unhappy with the way Hardik Pandya has captained Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2024. It is learned that Pandya’s leadership has caused a rift in Mumbai’s dressing room and them not winning a single game has made things worse for them.

The reports also added that the atmosphere in the Mumbai Indians dressing room is not good at all. There have been a lot of arguments between the two players over the decision. The development has been confirmed to News 24 by a player of the franchise.

Ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, Mumbai Indians made a shift in the captaincy. Rohit Sharma, who won five titles as the captain of the team, was removed and the franchise made Hardik Pandya the new skipper, who was traded from Gujarat Titans ahead of the league.

If the reports emerge to be true then Rohit Sharma will be entering the mega auction in the IPL 2024. It’s fair to say if he enters the auction then we might see all the records getting shattered. All the teams would want to have him as a batter and skipper, who has won 5 IPL titles.

The change in the captaincy hasn’t worked for Mumbai Indians at all. The fans too have been disappointed with it as they have not welcomed Hardik Pandya as the captain. The all-rounder has been greeted with boos in all the games Mumbai has played and has been at the receiving end of Rohit Rohit chants as well.

To worsen the case for him, Hardik Pandya has failed to make an impact as the leader of the franchise. The all-rounder has made a lot of tactical errors and has been questioned a lot about his leadership in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024.

Under his leadership, despite having a star-studded lineup, Mumbai Indians have failed to win a single game in the IPL. They have lost three games in the tournament and are reeling at the bottom of the points table. This also has seen the team facing a lot of criticism for the way they have played.

Mumbai Indians to change Hardik Pandya as captain after 5 games amid criticism over changing Rohit Sharma as leader

The reports also claimed that Mumbai Indians management might also consider a change in the captaincy during the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. It is learned that the all-rounder will be given at least 2 more games to prove his worth as the captain of the team..

If the all-rounder fails to make an impact then there might be a shift in the captaincy of the Mumbai Indians in the ongoing IPL 2024. Hardik Pandya has been under a lot of pressure in the ongoing league. He also has failed to make an impact with the bat and ball and seems to be facing his toughest time.
