What It Means for Indian Cricket

Emerging digital commerce venture OTO has secured a significant investment of USD $10 million (INR 83 Crore approx) from star India batter KL Rahul and other key partners. The funding was led by GMO Venture Partners along with existing investors Matrix Partners, 9Unicorn Funds, Prime Venture Partners, and Turbostart, along with some family offices of OTO.

This fresh funding aims to expand OTO’s presence to over 30 cities and support its transition to the electric vehicles segment. The investment will also strengthen OTO’s existing partnerships.

In cricket news, KL Rahul, who transitioned to a middle-order role during the first Test of the series between India and England, played a crucial role in India‘s first innings in Hyderabad, scoring 86 runs. However, despite a promising start in the second innings with 22 runs, Rahul failed to convert it into a substantial score, contributing to India’s loss in the match.

Currently, Rahul is undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore after complaining of discomfort in his right quadriceps, which led to his withdrawal from the Vizag Test. His return for the third Test against England in Raipur remains uncertain.

This development comes as another blow to India, as star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja also suffered an injury, leading to the maiden India call-ups for Sarfaraz Khan and Sourabh Kumar.
