The first Test match of India in 2024 is entertaining in all ways. After facing a huge defeat in the first Test match, Team India bounced back in the second Test. But the first day of the Test match turned out to be an exciting one. On the first day, both teams ended their first innings and South Africa came to bat in the second innings. Team India has created an unwanted record in that match. 

Unwanted Record of Team India:

India faced a defeat in the first Test match of an innings and 32 runs. In the second Test match, they gave an amazing start. South Africa ended their first innings in just 55 runs. Indian bowlers played a crucial role. While batting, India was going well. But the game changed when India was 153/5. Without adding a single run to the board, India got all out in 153 runs.  

After Shreyar Iyer went on a duck, KL Rahul came to bat. After defending a lot of balls, he got dismissed in a delivery of Lungi Ngidi scoring only 8 runs. From this point, South African bowlers changed the match. The other 5 wickets fall without any run. After KL Rahul, Ravindra Jadeja and Jasprit Bumrah got dismissed on a duck. Virat Kohli ended his fighting innings. With that, Team India created an unfortunate record. They become the first Team in Test history to lose the last six wickets without scoring a single run. 

First Day of Second Test:

On January 3, India and South Africa are locking horns in the second Test in Cape Town. That is the first fixture of 2024 for both teams. In the beginning, South Africa won the toss and decided to bat first. Indian pacers were on fire in the first innings. South African batters are just blown away by their excellence. Mohammed Siraj registered an amazing spell. He picked up 6 wickets in 15 runs. Jasprit Bumrah took 2 wickets in 25 runs. Mukesh Kumar took 2 wickets without giving any runs. 

Team India lost an early wicket of Yashavi Jaiswal. Rohit Sharma scored 39 runs in 50 balls. Shubman Gill walked away after 36 runs. Shreyas Iyer went away on a duck. Virat Kohli missed a well-deserved half-century. Kagiso Rabada dismissed him on 46 runs. Bumrah and Jadeja walked away on ducks. India got all out on 153 runs. In the second innings, South Africa is 19/0 in the 7th over.
