Pakistani Cricket’s Merry Surprise for Aussies at MCG Nets

As the year is ending, the whole world is celebrating Christmas. People from every part of the world celebrate this festival with joy and prosperity. The cricket world is also celebrating the festivity. On ‘Boxing Day’, two Test matches are scheduled to be played. In Melbourne Cricket Ground, Australia and Pakistan will be locking horns. The Pakistani squad planned something beautiful for the Australian team and the families. 

The Sweet Gesture:

Australia and Pakistan are locking horns in a three-match Test series. The first match is already done. On December 26, Australia and Pakistan will meet each other for the second Test match. Before the match, both teams practiced hard. In the practice session, Pakistani players performed a sweet gesture to the Australian team. 

Pakistani Shan Masood led the way. They carried gift baskets and candies for the Australian team and their families. Players from both teams enjoyed some good times together. Within the rivalries, both teams enjoyed the festivities together. It was all smiles. 

After the moment, Aussie skipper Pat Cummins shared his feelings. He was overwhelmed by the gesture of the Pakistani squad. He said, “That was just great. Just Merry Christmas gifts and lollipops for the kids. So that was great. We’ve got a good relationship with the Pakistan side. That tour a couple of years ago was really special as well. So really kind and thoughtful of their group to think of us.” 

Australia Defeated Pakistan in the First Test With  Massive Runs:

On December 14, the first Test between Australia and Pakistan started.  After winning the toss, Australia batted first. The Aussie batters played exceptionally well. David Warner played a knock of 164 runs in 211 runs. Mitchell Marsh scored 90 runs. They ended their first innings by 487 runs. That was an exceptional inning.

In the first innings, Pakistan fought well. Imam-ul-Haq scored 62 runs in 199 balls. Abdullah Shafique played a knock of 42 runs, and their first inning ended with 271 runs. In the second innings, Australia declared their innings at 233/5. On the other hand, in the second innings, Pakistan got all out with 89 runs. Australia hammered Pakistan with a massive 360-run margin.
